Hawzah News Agency- Shaykh al-Saduq narrated from his father, from Sa’ed ibn Abdullah, from Ayoob ibn Nooh, from Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr, from Sayf ibn Umayrih, from Mudrik ibn al-Hazhaz that Imam Sadiq (pbuh) said:
يَا مُدْرِكُ، رَحِمَ اللهُ عَبْدًا اجْتَرَّ مَوَدَّةَ النَّاسِ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ، فَحَدَّثَهُم بِمَا يَعْرِفُونَ، وَتَرَكَ مَا يُنْكِرُونَ.
O Mudrik, may Allah have mercy on a servant who draws people’s affection toward himself:
he speaks to them about what they understand and leaves aside what they reject.
